Our "serenading" here is kinda different. Fraternities go to Sororities and sing songs. We'll start out with our sweetheart song, then go to a little worse song then go to a little worse song such as "All My Cummin" and then maybe end up with "Constipated" a rip off of the avril lavigne song "complicated". Its really funny but kinda gross.
"Why does anal sex make you so constipated?" hahahhahaha Anyway, usually there are around like 3 to 4 that are basic old songs. And the freshamn class will make up one or two. the sororities here are pretty good in coming up with some of there own. A couple years ago a house came up with something about necrophelia (i think thats how you spell it) and all the sororities hated it and it has been known as the worst (grossest) song ever. Our constipated song was pretty close to winning the honor this year. And the line, " 'What if we should have a child', said the freshamn beer whore? 'We'll dig a ditch and bury the bitch', Said barnacle Bill the Sailor! " didn't go over well with some houses. Some of their songs are pretty bad as well though. You can go one of four ways with a song: Praise, Gross, Sweet, and Mean. We have about one of each. get one of each and then just play it by ear. :p |
No one serenades at Florida Tech. I kind of wish we did. :(
The closest we get is Lambda Chi Alphas singing "You Lost that Loving Feeling" to ex-girlfriends or freshman girls, or something. All I know is that when they did it to the dorm room below me freshman year at some ungodly hour, I wanted to kill them. :p |
we normally get on our knees and sing our sweetheart song to the ladies and White Chocolate even though our chapter isnt dressed up at least we dont sound like drunks...

It was always a big deal to gather around the windows of our suite (in the dorm) to see the seranading of whatever fraternity we were about to have a mixer with. As cheesy as it sounds, it really made me feel like I was a part of the "Greek experience" that I'd always thought of in high school.
The funniest was the KA's. I don't remember much of the song, but one line said: "A toast to all you ladies, may you all have KA babies!" I thought that was hilarious! |
