Ummm, I don't think the Marshall team is dragging the qb down any. who cares if they play weak teams, who cares if they get beat by a top 20 team. The qb can't catch, throw, play defense, punt, etc.

Pennington did just fine at marshall and look at him now. Like ksigrc said, McNair played against 1-AA competition.

Anyone want to speculate where Chris Simms from Texas will go in the draft?

Everytime I watched a Texas game all the announcers could talk about was how excited they were for such a great QB to be playing in the NFL next year...

After watching some of his games I have to wonder.

Like an A&M DT said last year, "I don't want to hit Major Applewhite too hard - if I hurt the guy, they might put in a QB who knows what the hell is going on."

For Simms - physical skills there, brain not.

That said - this year, anywhere from the 2nd - 4th round (I think he'll go behind Dorsey, but ahead of Banks) . . . I mean, if Akili Smith can go first round after 6 good games ever, who the hell knows?
