Martin's in the western part of South Dakota. I'm not up with my Nebraska geography, so i can't tell ya if we'll pass through Omaha. If we do, i'll be sure to honk a couple times and throw a "I LOVE HOOTIE" out the window for ya. Keep an eye out for a maroon and tan extended cab F150 with an A&M and a Sigma Nu sticker on the back :D I understand it'll be pretty brave driving it through Husker country. Kitso KS 361 times i'm gonna hear about the A&M-NU game from my relatives over CHRISTMAS |
Everybody always comes over to our house on holidays. We're one, huge extended family. It'll be the same as last year and the year before. Clean, eat, chilax (chill + relax), dance, sing, watch tv, eat, clean, perhaps go and watch a picture show. Ooooh, I love the holidays!!! Not only does it get colder, but I get to hang out with all of my family. Good times, good times.
Totally random, but I love these smilies! :D |
I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year for myself, my husband, and my parents. Over Thanksgiving weekend, we're going down to my in-laws, visiting with them, and going to my husband's high school reunion.
For Christmas and New Year's - totally up in the air. Depends on whether I have a job or not. If so, I'll be working because I won't have enough vacation time built up. If not - 2 weeks' vacation :) |

Most likely, I'll be working over Christmas break.... :(
But, the pay isn't too bad! :) |
I'm going home!!!!!!:D:D
Last year we couldn't afford (both time-off-work and monetarily) to go back home to Canada for Christmas....so we went to Texas and spent the holidays with Art's brother, girlfriend, roommate and his girlfriend. While it was fun, I missed my family A LOT!!! It was my first Christmas away from them. After that, I made my husband promise that we would go home this year....and we are! Unfortunately our tickets weren't cheap (Art's sick of driving to other cities to fly from) because we're flying from this small little crappy airport with only 4 airlines (and only 2 that fly to Canada). Almost $800 for the both of us to go home for a week.....and that includes 3 (!!!!) stopovers and a total of 10 hours travel time!!!! But I couldn't be happier!!! We leave on Christmas Eve and return New Years Day (saved $300 flying these days!).....this means I get to spend New Years Eve with my sisters, partying it up at home!!! The only downside: I haven't seen snow in 2 years! I'm gonna freeze my Canadian-accustomed-to-Southern-living butt off!!!!!!:D:D:D Halifax had 8 inches of snow yesterday and I called my mom and laughed at her for 5 minutes....she said "You just wait till you get off the plane sweetie......and remember you laughing now! I will have no pity for you!" Gotta love my mom!:D |
:D :D :D Going to New York!!!:D :D :D
...for Thanksgiving. I leave on the 24th and return on the 29th. I'm so excited. My parents just moved back from Japan (haven't seen them in over a year), so I'll see them in New York, as well as my entire extended family (haven't seen them in three years!).. I cannot express just how happy I am to be spending a week in New York, with my family, during the holiday!!!:D |
