I'm an only and a lot of that is accurate. Especially the boundaries thing. I guess that's why I've had issues with roomates before - I know how much it sucks to have others invade your space, so I'm super-careful to not do that. Most roomates that I've had haven't been as good about it. I always assume I'm going to be an intrusion unless told otherwise.

My boyfriend is the youngest, the second child, but his older brother is 9 years older. So, he's practically an only. We both relate like we're only children.

Definately only child...grew up an only child...but it's funny because I look at the fourth born (which I would've been had I not been adopted) and a lot of those apply too... cool post!

I'm a first born and about 75% of the statements were true.

I'm a first born child...I would say that the majority of them were pretty close.

Well, that can make sense, when you are the fourth born you are usually the youngest in the household AND when you're an only child you're also the youngest in the household, just in a different way, so it is possible to share some similar characteristics. Catch my drift? ;)

I'm a first born and many of these described. Especially the one that says that what angers me the most is when people show a lack of respect. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I am a first born and most of the descriptions fit me. The ones that didn't were definitely the only child descriptions. I guess it's a hold-over from the days before my younger brother was born. :)

i am a first born for sure... however most of my friends are second, third, even forth borns and i get along with them a lot better than only childs.
