I semi-agree with you. We are not monolithic, nor, if wee have trul advanced, should we. But there is still a such thing as a self-loathing, backstabbing, sellout. While my sentiments are are decidedly non-liberal and I agree with much of what "some" Black conservatives have to say, too many of them relish denigrating Black folks to white conservative audiences and much to their delight. Many of them offer only criticism and little prescription for the correcting our ills or implementing their ideas. They only stand on their pedestal and look down while shouting "I'm a good Negro, I'm not Black like those ghetto dwelling, welfare getting, drug dealers". You are known by the company you keep, and almost all of these Black conservative critics are married to white women and distance themselves from as much cultural Blackness as possible. I'm a conservative, but I refuse to sleep with the enemy, both literally and figuratively. I won't cast my lot with Republicans.
