it doesn't make people feel stupid cuz it's a much more sophisticated, i guess that might be a term for it, type of cartoon compared to something like sponge bob square pants. more intellectual. i'd compare it to south park somewhat, but much better. it deals with current events, political issues, and so on. granted, it's very sarcastic and meant to make fun of/mock these things. i think i just over analyzed the simpsons way too much. sorry.

its not iowa..you're not supposed to know what state they live in..on several different occasions they will start to say what state it is but find a way around it (kind of like you never see wilson's face on home improvement)

I am not a huge Simpson's fan. The only time I'll watch it is at the dinner table on a Sunday night IF (and only if) my brother is in charge of the remote controll. I don't normally go out of my way to watch it.
But I will say this much~ I like it better than Southpark!
