Hello Sorors, I am so excited to say that I have finally gotten my pearls! 27 other lovely ladies and myself finally became a part of this illustrious sisterhood yesterday on 4/17/11. I have been on a pink and green cloud all day today.

Hi Sorors!! I was initiated into our wonderful sisterhood in April (in a graduate chapter in MD). I have wanted to be an AKA since I was a child but my university did not have any greek organizations -white or African American - while I was there (I went to Yale during the animal house era and they had all been banned from campus). I have prayed and wanted to be an AKA for 30+ years and I am skeenomenally happy to now be one. Still on a high that I never want to come down from!!!!
