Been working on the HTTPS stuff for GC and that was the highest number I noticed.

Yes, most of those connections are almost surely bots. But could also be many legit site visitors along with that since August usually seems to be the busiest time of year for GC.

I just find it interesting that the way I have the new server setup it's able to handle that much traffic without too much trouble.

More anti-bot stuff to work on is on my GC to-do list, so eventually those bots will (hopefully) be blocked or otherwise filtered out not too long from now.

Yes, Bama recruitment always drives up traffic! Crazy. Now it's just under 1500. It's like the bots travel together.
