I was an adviser at a campus where we had to turn in recruitment plans. It was no big deal...what they wanted was theme, decorations, music, food, etc. So the plan would be:
Pref Party: Lei ceremony, white rented chairs, Anchor hanging on wall, drapes behind, 3speakers,2 singers, member playing violin for background music and singers. Nothing too intrusive,

Yes, each group has 18 months to get themselves in line with the university's rules and regulations.

Well, an update on Bloomsburg. Apparently the young man who died early in the fall was drinking prior to said fall at a rush event for a national fraternity that was being hosted in the house of a national sorority. Things are about to get ugly!!

I'm not finding many details, and it looks like no one is releasing the names of the organizations yet. But it sounds like Bloomsburg has reason to be concerned.

Over the last five years, according to the university's website, several chapters have committed hazing and alcohol infractions, including at least two cases that resulted in hospitalizations. In 2016, as part of a hazing activity, a new member drank a gallon of white vinegar, followed by darker vinegar. The student suffered “severe damage to his esophagus, had a perforated stomach, and was in intensive care,” the website said.

Last year, it was reported that a new member “was hazed using calisthenics, racial slurs, lineups,” and that in at least one case, the hazing caused a member to develop an infection that led to hospitalization.

What's with the vinegar? That's so dangerous.
