Yes, that would be Dr. Larry. I still can't wrap my mind around this! He was always a genuinely nice man around me. And I had met his wife a few times, when she was in the office (I had to go at least once a week).

Reminds me of when me and my now-fiance moved to Hawaii in 2015. My fiance had lived there before and had been part of a running group, so we joined up with them when we got on island.
One day, this new guy shows up. I ended up running and chatting with him for a good 15-20 minutes. We meet up with the rest of the group at the end and have a beer or two, and when we got home, my fiance said the guy seemed nice. And he was! Super nice. Almost TOO nice.
He came back to run with us here and there, and I never said anything to anyone, because I couldn't quite put my finger on the reason why he always rubbed me the wrong way.
And then a couple months later, he was arrested. He's now serving 35 years for plotting to kill his wife.

It's a strange thing when you realize you've met somebody who's had a hand in killing someone else, especially their spouse.
