Beta Theta Pi:
At nine o'clock in the evening of the eighth day of the eighth month of the year 1839, eight earnest young men, all students at Miami University, held the first regular meeting of Beta Theta Pi in the Hall of the Union Literary Society, an upper room in the old college building (known as "Old Main.") TAU BETA SIGMA National honorary sorority for members of the collegiate band (co-ed) was founded on: March 26, 1946 (Alpha Chapter) May 4, 1946 (Beta Chapter) Our founder was from the Beta Chapter at Texas Tech, the founding members couldnt get incorperated in Texas, so they gave permission to the Oklahoma women to become the Alpha, because they wanted the sorority to be national and they needed to be incorperated. |
