thanks you guys sooo much- I really don't think I would have rushed a 3rd time (or 2nd for that matter) if I hadn't gotten so much great advice from all of you- I will post more details later (taking a quick break between classes)... thanks again!!

Hi guys! I know I promised to post details about my rush experience, and I'm sooo sorry it's taken so long... but here you go... I know it's not the same as posting during rush, but here's the main idea :)

Well, during the first round i had a great time- mainly because I had a whole new attitude... i was sooo determined to have a good time this time around... (last year i had a horrible time, didn't even buy my rush group photo)... I had fun at most of the houses, although it was a little difficult at some. Here are the house impression I got (but remember, I've been through recruitment twice before, so already knew a lot about the houses)...
House #1: This house was nice, and was considered one of the "elite" houses... The girls were really sweet, but I didn't quite click with them as a whole... also, we had to sit on the floor during this round and my foot fell asleep- actually my whole leg fell asleep... i must have made a not-so-good impression because i was too worried thinking about how i was going to stand up with a numb foot :)
House #2: This house is very cool, very sweet girls... i didn't get the impression that they were too interested in me... although i did not end up in this house, one of my really good friends did and i'm sooo happy for her
House #3: Kappa Delta- enough said? lol, if you've read my old posts you'll know that i've always loved these girls and feel so at home with them (they've been my first choice since last fall) :)
House #4: : I love this house- they are awesome girls... very sweet, down to earth, and just all around a good house
House #5: This house is cool, also known for having a good image... didn't really feel at home here, although the girls were very nice
House #6: Hmm... interesting house.. my suitemate from last year is in this house... unfortunately she was not a nice person, and unfortunately her sisters weren't able to change my impression about the house, although I’m sure there are great girls in this house
House #7: this is the house that i preffed last fall and did not put down on my preference card... i went in w/ a much more open mind this year and really had a good time- very sweet girls...
House #8: Nice girls, a little intimidating, but overall a great house... i didn't really feel like i fit in here
House #9: Sweet girls, but didn't seem too interested... they seemed to be trying to give off an impression that was not true to who they are... they also rushed us 4 PNM per active

So there's my house by house break down... now remember that this all happened a few weeks ago, so my next post will be about the next round... i'm not gonna make you guys wait hours/days to read the next round, but if you want it to be more exciting- feel free to wait a few days or hours to read it, lol :)

For round 2 (skit day) I was invited back to House #'s 3 (KD), 4, 5, 7, and 9... it's funny because last fall i was only cut by 3 houses and i was devestated... this year i was cut by 4 and was thrilled with the houses i was going back to :)

I was very happy with #3 (KD)... had a great time, got to meet more girls in the house, and loved their skit... was a little worried because I was paired up with the girl I had last spring, and I don't think i made a good impression last semester (but I guess i did this time, lol)

I was very happy to be invited back to house #4... they are awesome girls, and had a very cute skit... i was cut by this house after the first round last fall... knew a few girls in the house... i really liked it here, but had a feeling i might be cut for the next round

House #5: I was very surpirsed to be invited back here- i was also cut by them after the 1st round last year- they're known as being very selective

House #7: I was happy to be invited back here although it was still a little awkward... i was able to talk w/ the girl who preffed me last fall and i was sooo happy to see her- she's such a sweetheart :)

House #9: Still not the house for me, but i had a good time... the girls were very sweet, but i still got the impression they were trying to be something they weren't

Overall had a fun time, really got to know girls in my rush group, and by the way- i totally loved my rho chi! she was such a sweetheart.
