I'm sure the chapter you are referring to has AOPi alumnae that live in the area that were in other college chapters. I'm certain they'd be thrilled to help out with all aspects recruitment. It is so exciting helping to get a chapter started, I know I'd jump at the chance!
Also, I think having alums helping out during recruitment really drives home the point that this is a lifetime membership.

Violets, you are correct there are many alums in the area who want to help in any way possible. It is so much fun to help get a chapter started :D If they would let us there would probably be more alums than actives at the parties bc the chapter is still pretty small.

I guess the point I was trying to make is that it would not be much different than having ladies from another chapter at rush because none of the alums will be from that chapter. They can only provide the experiences they had at more established chapters...
