Re: Class Reunions
Since we had both a 5 year & a 10 year reunion (1991), and I went to one and not the other, I'll answer both sets.

2. Same as Question (1), only I'm civilian, saved, no longer desparate for a woman, and don't wear quite as much blue. 3. The 5 year reunion was all right: My senior class was about half black and half white, but most of the white students attended the reunion. I didn't know a lot of them very well, so I spoke to very few alumni. I was one of 3 black alumni who attended. Oh, BTW, all the former class officers became Greeks: Class President and Valedictorian: Alpha Phi Class VP and Salutatorian: Alpha Delta Phi Class Secretary: Alpha Kappa Alpha Class Treasurer (and GCer 411's earlier Pi Kappa chapter initiate): Delta Sigma Theta 4. Not really; there was no one there I particularly cared to gloat to. Quote:
2. Don't care either way regarding the 15 year reunion; most of the folks I hung out with in high school I see periodically throughout Columbus anyway, primarily at Homecoming or First Fridays, so it's no big deal for me. When I do "gloat" to them, they usually say, "I knew you were gonna do well" or words to that effect. In other words, if I am looking for a certain alumnus, I usually know how and where to get a hold of them. |

3) I thought I was sooo grown in high school. I wore pant suits every single day, got my hair and nails done every two weeks. I guess you can say that I was burgeouise (sp?). I wasn't cocky, but high maintenance! I won best dress. Other than that I was a really sweet person. I never gossiped, fought, nor was in a clique. 4) Well, I guess you can say that I've changed a lot. That high mainenance chick is no longer alive! I now own three pairs of tennis shoes, I hardly wear pant suits any more. I get my hair done when I can afford it. M.A.C., I haven't bought any in the longest (how I'm craving for some new shadows and Verushka), oh and those nails...they're gone! My level of spirituality is on another level. God has definitely taken presidence of everything that comes in my life. Of course, I'm greek and I still have no children. Most of my classmates have children. Go figure. I really do look forward to going to the reunion. Soror, I think you should go. If I made any typos, I'm sorry...I don't feel like proofreading. :) |
