Hate to break it to you but you're wrong on Pearl Harbor. Almost two days prior, a Japanese fighter plane engaged a US surveillance plane just south of the Aleutian Islands. The Japanese responded to the threat of the US spy-plane discovering General Yamamoto's elusive carrier fleet as it crossed the Pacific undetected. The US plane was shot down, and the Japanese fleet was not discovered. News of the US plane going down was not learned until after Pearl Harbor and the investigative inquiries that followed. So despite what you read, Japanese forces defending their fleet inflicted the first casualties in the Pacific Theatre in the war between Japan and the US.

Yes my analogies were ridiculous. Your usage of the word "retaliation" was also ridiculous. And yes America is the greatest nation in the world. I did not say of all time because that is apples and oranges. It might not be perfect but it is the greatest country on so many levels. I am tired of other countries talking about how Americans have such huge egos yet they somehow forget the large nationalistic/fascist attitudes that most of them hold.

Libra, the first shot that Brought the USA in was the sinking of a Submarine, but did you happen to notice that the Japanese were already planning the attack and had a Force on the way! That and several other submarines were sent there to spy and disrupt what became known as the day of infamy!

The Japanese were members of the Axis, Germany, Italy and Japan!

History Books are distorted! Do the Japanese History Books talk about the reason that the USA got in the War? No. They to this day deny it!

Rudey...thanks for the history lesson. If your information is true about the bomber then I stand corrected. I will continue to research, because I have learned through many sources that the United States actually made the first strike, but that was the only tangible info I could find in a short period of time. Lemme do some deeper research before I concede totally! ;)

Now as far as the retaliation, no that is not the incorrect word. You wanna talk about apples and oranges! The U.S. consistenly bullies soverign nations. Why? Because we can. There is MUCH documentation to back up the actions that precipitated the attacks on the United States. Again, I am short on time so I will have to come back to post for you.
