Thi is the happy thread!:D

Tcsparky found a home which i am sooo pleased to hear about!!!!! For so long she searched and searched and now she is a AXID and as you can tell she isn't even excited and or phased by it! (yeah right!) hehehhe

You found a home with Gamma Phi Beta!!!!!whooo hoooo!

Valkyrie is an Alum Initiate and i am a soon to be an AI both with ALPHA PHI! so were all very happy campers to find a home and have great sisters!

Just think if it wasn't for Tcsarky and Cutiepie2000 starting these Alumnae Initiate threads we as well as many other women wouldn't have known about some of these great groups and the oppurtunity for us to join and find a home!

I have made some really good friends who are in turn my sisters. My dream that i never got to take part in college is now a reality thanks to Cutie pie and her infinite wisdom and research into this topic.

good luck and congrats to you on Gamma Phi beta and to Tcsparky.... YOU GO GIRL! you deserve it!

This is becoming some of the finest hours for Greek Organizations!

Alum Initiation of many fine Ladys that did not have a chance to contribute to each and every Group!

Wow what a great thing!

I give my heartfell congratulations to each and everyone one of you!

It can and will be as meaningfull fulfillment for what you have attained! Stay with it and contribuate and you will get more out of it than a gal or guy who become members and graduate and never act like they were a member who gained so many Brothers/Sisters!

The young people can always use the advice of a more mature person! Use that wisley. But do use it!

This is so wonderful! Congratulations, ladies!!! :)

Contrats!! I am so glad that you're becoming a sister. Gamma Phi has a terrific alumna initiation program. At convention this summer, there were six women initiated as alum initiates. It was a really lovely ceremony. I hope that Gamma Phi Beta brings as much to you as it has to me.

Thank you everyone for your kind words....it has been my pleasure to try to help women realize their dreams of initiation!

I had been wondering what was happening in your sisterhood search.

Best wishes to you and the UGA Chapter! May you always be as enthusiatic about your membership!!

Wowee!

When it rains, it pours!! :)

This has to be the most exciting couple of weeks this alumni involvement forum has ever seen! :) So many alumnae initiates!

I too think that CutiePie2000 is one of the coolest most helpful people around. :)

Actually, come to think of it, everyone who has been participating in these threads is a real star. You have all had some great words of advice and encouragement. It really means something to those of us who have been working so hard to become alum initiates. We make call after call, send out e-mails, letters and such and often without responses for weeks and months. As you have read from us "seekers" time and time again, it gets discouraging. But, to logon on to GC and see a word of encouragement from one of you to keep trying really helps.

Thank you.

Hopefully, one of these days I will be able to make my grand post "I am have been invited to join ______!!" I'm half tempted to quit school and go back to the US so that I can work on it now! :) Ok, I'm just being silly - my education is important to me!

On a related note, I e-mailed the HQ of the group I'm working with and, as I suspected, they don't have an alum association in Britain and they can't tell me about any individual alumnae who live here. :( That's a bummer 'cause I was hoping I could maybe hang out with a couple people in the meantime. I mean, I was all but officially invited by the HQ to join "my" org (was given the application, told they would find me a sponsor when I come home etc). Erg! Oh well, good things come to those who wait? :)

.....Kelly :)

Hang in there Kelly...

...good things DO come to those who wait...so keep your chin up! By the way, I am pretty certain there are Gamma Phi alums -- not necessarily an official alum chapter though...in England -- whereabouts are you (city)?
