yes, i do. Honestly i posted for positive feedback and resources. I thanked you all for your advice and will try to speak to my school's greek life adviser in person, i'm currently not concerned with whether or not i'll get a bid as i can not even participate in spring recruitment yet, i'll worry about that later. Again, thanks for all your feedback!

conf234, hold on a minute. You're in trouble (on probation) with the UNIVERSITY?

I think your first priority is to get that straightened out. As you yourself wrote, "appeals are rarely approved". There's your answer right there, honestly. You can talk to the Greek Life Adviser all you want, but this is not in his/her area of influence. I was employed at a University. so I kinda sorta have a clue how discipline works, and how different departments function in the scheme of things. And one department doesn't step out of its area and mess in another department's actions.

Get your disciplinary status resolved. From what you wrote, you won't be out of the woods on that until the end of your junior year. So, all things considered, your prospects are pretty much not great at all. Sorry.

ETA: I re-read some of your other posts, and ... nevermind.

I am going to just be blunt here and hope that the answer gets through... you have been given the best answer from your Greek Life adviser. I read her/ his reply as trying to be kind and PC. It sure sounds like the answer is that your appeal will not be successful.

It does not matter in the slightest bit what another person might have experienced on another campus, at another time, in different circumstances.
