I'm mistaken for being younger than I am ( 5 years younger). I went to pick up my brothers last week from their freshman orientation (high school) and the mom volunteers said that I needed to pick up my schedule before i cuold go in. They apologized to me when I told them I was a sophomore in college though. It might be nice when i'm 34 and still look like i'm in my 20's...

Many folks think I'm either Native American or Mexican..

I'm neither.... It was much worse when I had long hair.

It's all due to my heritage I was told it was the "Black Dutch" in my family...

A Garth Brooks lookalike. Yeah, minus the 300 lbs of fat on his ass.

A 17 year oold. I get carded all the time. Am now getting to the age where I get offended if they dont card me. lol.

People thought my dad was lation. He was german, just with dark features.

People often think my sister andf I are identical twins. I am all, "Um, HAVE you ever had a science class. Shes a girl, I am a guy. theres no possible way we could be identical twins. Even if we were fraternal twins we could look just as alike as we do now, being born 4 years apart.

People think my oldest sister (by 20 years) is my mom. We do look alike, so since shes older, peeps be thinkin she my momma. lol

Mistaken for...

I have sometimes been mistaken for an intelligent lifeform.

I am 23, but I look younger and I teach high school. Parents still get me confused with the students. I know I'm not that much older than them, but they wear a uniform. I should stick out like a sore thumb :)

I got carded for a rated R movie last year. Talk about embarrassing!

For some reason, people think I have asian features. I'm german-scottish know of no one in my heritage that was asian. It has to be the dark hair and eyes.

My students also think I am a democrat because I like to play devil's advocate. I just want them to be able to intelligently articulate why and what they believe, even when they may have go against the crowd.

People think I'm younger than I really am (just turned 21 in June!) All the freshmen have been out in full force on Fraternity Row and I've been joking to my friends saying they probably think I'm a freshman too (I'm a senior). But my friends say that I don't seem like a freshman because of the way I carry myself. Even though most people think I'm younger than I look, there have been a few instances when people think I'm older than I am because of the way I carry myself. Shortly after I was initiated I was out with a bunch of my pledge sisters. I was talking to an ATO and I told him my age. He was like, "Whoa I thought you were one of the older sisters taking out the new girls!" That made me happy!

People also think I'm more prissy than I really am...I guess it's because I dress very trendy and am always very put together...they think I'm not athletic. It bothers me sometimes because I'm very athletic (when I want to be--just whipped my friend, a Theta Chi, in racquetball) (played basketball for 5 years and softball for 4 years before high school and then ran track and cross country all 4 years of high school).

lol! I've been told that I look like Nicole Kidman or Geena Davis. Usually, it is by very drunk men. ;)

sometimes people think im older than i am (which is 20). this happened in high school too. i was a freshman in high school and my friends and i went to a football game. well, i started talking to this girl that was a senior. it was going well until my buddy said i was a freshman, that totally ruined things, she thought i was at least a junior :(

Rudey 09-03-2002 12:15 AM

damn

Once I told a girl she looked like Cameron Diaz. She didn't, but her friend looked like Sloth from Goonies.

--I always compare people to actors from the Goonies. If you're like Chunk or Sloth, the closest you'll get to me is by sleeping with my landlord.

Mine would be age. I'm 23 but I been told i look like 16/17/18. As for carding, I always have my ID out because I know they will ask. One time I wasn't carded, I was like hell yeah :) LOL Oh another story, when I was senior in high school, I was getting graduation stuff, the sales lady asked if I was graduating grammer school. I was like No, I'm graduating HIGH SCHOOL, thank you very much. I just think of it, when I'm 35, I'll look like 25, so its all good

Shark_in_Skirt 09-03-2002 12:29 AM

- Under the age of 15 when I'm in my most comfortable outfit: No makeup, overalls, white t-shirt...

- That I look like the spitting image of Lucy Lui... frankly, I don't think I look anything like Lucy Lui, although she's a really beautiful actress and everything. Sometimes I think that its because she's really one of the few Asian women in the media so everyone automatically associates me with her.

XOXO,
Annie.

I'm 26 and everyone that doesn't know me thinks that I'm 18 or 19. You should see their jaw drop when I tell them my age and that I'm married. It's actually pretty funny.
