I saw the show last night too! Wow we are all such closet TLC dorks it's hillarious. I thought the DU house looked like every single fraternity house I had ever been in. Dirt on the floor, garage sale furniture....but i have never heard of a fraternity having parties in their chapter room??? is that common where anyone else is from? Good job to both teams they did a good job!
Even with Doug's nasty color scheme.

I'm so glad other GCers saw the show! How did they choose only two collegiate members from each chapter? (I missed the opening.) Did their House Associations sanction it? (Okay, I doubt DU has HAs--men don't--but NPC groups certainly do!)

I thought the DU color scheme was too froo-froo for guys. I thought the AOPi results were okay, but rather cold.

Any comments from anyone about the DG remodel? Love those anchors on the wall, and the ship's wheel centerpiece!

So, how did TLC/TS choose these houses and why Berkeley?

I kind of don't blame Doug for not going w/ chapter colors.

DU colors = Cal colors

It would've looked lazy if he'd gone in and said
"Guess what! We're doing blue and gold."

I think a black white silver thing would have looked cool in the DU room.

They wanted a speakeasy type feel. That's something they definitely did not get. :(

I think the AOII room looked to formal for a tv room. But I did like it. :)


As far as the DG rooms. It always surprises me that I kind of like the rooms when Frank is done. Did anyone else think that he was making Hannah's for the girls? Those little wooden people were definetly odd.

Laurie needs to get over ceiling fans. If I'd been one of the girls I would have tackled Ty to keep him from taking it down. Okay, I admit, I would have tackled him just to tackle him. :o :D But taking the only fan out a room that is going to hold 160 women!!! :eek: WTF!

I think she could have done a lot better. She ruined the dining table set. I'm a purist. You don't paint wood. ESPECIALLY carved wood.
The coffee table was the only cool thing. Other than that all she did was put down 2 area rugs, make some slip covers, and paint the walls.

What she did was nothing anyone of us couldn't have thought to do. :( I feel like DG got jipped on the chapter room.
