Re suiciding decreasing your chances, if a school uses a computer program, can that have any effect? Like I remember when I took the SAT's they told us it was better to put a wrong answer down than no answer cause if we didn't fill anything in it would make the computer go whacko...is the bid matching thing the same? Like if it doesn't see 3 (or however many) choices it will throw you out?

I suicided and I don't think I could have been happier. I would not have been happy in the other houses at my school, and if I had put them down then chances are I would have gotten into one of them. Then I would have had to be somewhere where I was not happy or drop and end up waiting 1 year thanks to panhellanic rules. It definitally depends on that particular person.

Actually APhiCutei, if you got your first choice, then you wouldn't have gotten a different choice if you hadn't suicided.

We have a huge problem with suciding at my school. A bunch of girls do it, because they feel they either want to ba a part of a certian group, or none at all. Also, a bunch of girls who don't suicide and get their 2nd choice decline bids too (it's a bit stressful for the sororities here!) I wish the Rho Chi's would press that joining a sorroity is like chosing a college, there are many palces where you could fit, and you don't know until you try.
