Hey, we have those (Larry's and Publix) in Charleston as well, and I was going to add these, but I was thinking they were too "local" to add. So glad to see that they are valued by others. How good are Larry's pickles, OMG!!! |
Definitely Jimmy John's or in Ames there's a place called West Street Deli. It's SO good! They have fresh-baked bread and then grill the sandwiches. And the bread is in big slices, not hoagie rolls. Yum!

i like sandwiches from the delis at safeway and nob hill. :)

At school there are nothing but chains. I love Panera Bread. I always get the Tuscan Chicken. Also, they have good soup and salads.
I also like Cosi, and Au Bon Pain |
My friend raved about a certain sub sandwich chain in Oregon. I tried it once and was SO disappointed. I could have made the same thing at home. Crappy, crap, crap. I'll stick to Subway and Quiznos.
|
I like Firehouse Subs, McAlister's and Jersey Mike's. McAlister's is really more of a deli but their chicken salad on croissant is really really good.
|
There is a small deli called "The Bread Store" in downtown Sacramento. There sandwiches are expensive but they are huge! Overflowing...
Their soups aren't bad either. I love La Bou though. I'll go to Quiznos on occasion. Subway never really fills me up. I'm always hungry an hour later. |

Jimmy John's Tuna...mmm
too bad there are none down here (afaik) |
I like Subway. I only had Quiznos once, and it was good and toasty. Togos is good. My favorite is the Italian pizzeria across the street. They make the best meatball heroes and sausage and pepper heroes. Mmmmm. *drool*
