Because of this, she shared that she will have no problem getting in. When an alumna of another NPC who has helped her organization through colonizations spoke up about how competitive colony recruitment is, the OP pretty much told AZTheta where she could shove it because she wasn't of any help and getting a colony bid to Sigma Sigma Sigma would be easy---or so she said. Tri-Sigma ladies, please take note of this special snowflake PNM. Her poor attitude leads me to believe she would deserve to be turned away.

As a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma I would not want her as a sister. We value character, conduct and friendship. The OP's posts, which have now been deleted, show a lack of character and her conduct is deplorable. To put down a house by saying that the women who are extended a bid are rejects is in my book not very panhellenic.

Thanks to all my fellow panhellenics on this post who have defended Tri Sigma, I am proud to call each of you my Panhellenic Sisters.

Hi!

As a regional volunteer and involved alumna, I'm so excited to hear of your interest in our colony!

Please visit http://jointrisigma.com for the most updated information about our events/colonization at UMass!

I sent a PM with said information as well but in case you are reading, I wanted you to have the most up-to-date information possible.

Best of luck to you.

Thank you AZTheta and others for the great responses. As a colonizing sister of my chapter, I can tell you an offer of membership is not guaranteed no matter the size of the school or Greek life. My colonizing sisters were not "left-overs." These were women who saw the opportunity to create a legacy, have a profound and positive impact and were willing to put in a lot of hard work. Today, 14 years later, I see the results and it fills my heart with so much pride.

As it should! Your heart should certainly be filled with pride because Sigma Sigma Sigma, along with the other 25 NPC sororities, is a great organization that anyone should be proud to call home. I sincerely hope ajohnson doesn't get a bid to such an amazing sisterhood because she doesn't deserve to call some of my really good friends (and fellow Panhellenic sisters) sisters of her own.

You are a class act and a credit to Tri Sigma.

KSU, I want to be you when I grow up :D

This is why I love my Panhellenic sisters! I don't think I am speaking out of turn when I say that colony new members are held in high regard by all of our organizations. It is incredibly expensive to colonize, and our organizations are going to do everything possible to ensure the success of the colony. We want the best to lay the groundwork for the years to come.

A quick search in the UMass-Amhearst website, made it obvious that there is more than one woman on campus named AJohnson, but I have faith that the Tri Sigma national representatives will see through the OP if she decides to show up to colony recruitment.

Tri Sigma is a wonderful organization, and I'm happy to see so many Panhellenic women standing up to this rude poster.

AJohnson, you have shown immaturity and characteristics that are not suitable for being a member of Tri Sigma or any NPC organization. I suggest you move along.

sigmagirl2000 09-22-2016 11:20 PM

Oh, this UMass grad and active participant and friend of the F/SA cares greatly about the greek community at my alma mater, and I can assure you that regardless of the percentage of undergraduates that are greek, and how uncompetitive you think the greek community and recruitment is..... that each chapter is strong, has leaders in campus activities, and does NOT take just anyone. I can get the F/SA to attest to this if there is an issue here.....

Is there, AJohnson?

sigmagirl2000 09-22-2016 11:22 PM

thanks, AZTheta. Love you!
