Never Say Never! i was considered old when I pledged a large Fraternity before getting kicked out. I started my own and was never considered old then even though I am considered today as the OLD FART!
I Still have Brothers young and not so young calling me to ask for advice.
At a Regional Meeting i told the youngsters that I had a mind set of 24, but unfortunatly a body clock of 124!
After a meeting Mon. night # 327 asked how old I was and I told him I thought I was still @ 24. He said WRONG, you act much younger than that.
I think When I Grow Up, I will be a George! Not W either!!!!!
Gads what a thing for a Republican to say. LOL

I pledged Chi Omega as a junior, and in many respects am glad that I waited. But everytime I think about the fact that I am going to be a senior next year, I wish that I had a couple of more years. It is especially hard, because I am really close to my pledge class (which mostly consists of freshmen). The experience is great though. Waiting made me respect the ideals of my sorority so much more than I think I could of as a freshman.

Hey Joyfulbug...

As Amycat said, I attend the University of Arizona. I'm graduating this summer and am an alumna of my sorority, but I will be around for the next year and will be helping out with rush. Anyway, I can give you a heads up on what to look forward to. For now I just want to tell you to GO FOR IT!!!

Greek Love,
Christina

It may be difficult to find a house because the vast majority of girls going through recruitment are underclassmen and so that's what the chapters are looking for. But you may find a group of girls that you click with and they won't care about your age. I am a sophomore at Arizona and so if you have any questions about Formal Fall Recruitment please feel free to email me, I'd love to answer your questions!

I went through as a junior, and there was also a senior in my pledge class. So for my chapter, I know class status isn't a huge issue. I can't speak for others though, even at my school, because it did seem as though the vast majority of girls who got bids to other sororities were sophomores. (Freshmen can't go through Fall Recruitment here)

I say go for it. I got a bid as a soph but wasnt feeling anything from the one i got into. The I went through formal rush as a junior but dropped because didnt like how it was going and I hated hearing You're a junior? WHY ARE you rushing? with a eww look on their face. Finally i went all the way as a senior and i wouldnt take it back for anything. Besides you can always say involved as a consultant or advisor and even with alumna clubs or junior circle. (although I think only AGD might have those, but Im not sure). GO GREEK!
