Genevive~ I LOVE her.. I think all her rooms look awesome. She's so cool and I love Mod and Retro. So it'd be perfect.

Vern~He's so awesome. He always does an awesome job...

Now right here I would usually say Laurie. But lately Frank has been getting away from his country clutter. I've seen a few rooms that i've really liked. I also really like Lauries rooms even though she's a bit annoying for me at times.

Doug~ I couldn't work with him but I'd like him to do my room. He's a prick but does good work.

I haven't seen any of Edwards rooms.

Kia~ She needs to learn that the show actually means it when they have deadlines and budgets.. but her room was ok i guess...

Hildie could not even come to my house for lunch. She would not be allowed on the block! I can't stand her!!!

1. Vern- his style is so much like mine. He uses sleek lines, classic colors, and he uses balance in all of his rooms. I LOVE his Asian inspired rooms. They totally ROCK!

2. Hilde- She is way too cool. I like how she's so inventive and bold. Seriously? Chocolate on walls? That's so funny!

3. Genevive- she's pretty hip and likes to use bold colors which I like. However, she needs to stay away from the 70's...

4. Lori- I think I will like her more when I'm older and have kids. She does a lot of floral and French Country-esque things, and I think I'll like it when I'm older.

5. Doug- He just seems like a jerk. And, I think he tried to be like Vern...but he never pulls it off.

3. Genevive - The only thng I hated was the moss

4. Doug - I know he always says "we aren't doing what the homeowner wants, we are doing what I want" which is scary, but don't sign up for the show if you aren't prepared for scary!!!

5. Frank - you can always throw the dolls away!!!

Agreed on the Hildi luncheon. NO way I would let her do my room. I have NEVER seen a room of hers that I liked! Same goes for that new woman, Kia. Um, astroturf and plastic flowers for a bedspread? Rocks and bricks on a bedroom floor to stub a toe or break an ankle during a middle of the night trip to the bathroom? No thanks!!!!

1. Vern definately! He is such a perfectionist and I love his work.

2. Genevive: her works is usually pretty decent

3. Lori: Love her styles and color choices

4. Frank: I love his artist ability, even though it might look silly on the walls. I would definately want him to do a children's room (that is, if I had children).

5. Doug--not too fond of Doug, but his work is pretty good.

I totally agree with everyone else. I would not want Hildie under any circumstance to be anywhere near my house. I think that she does some of her projects because she knows that she can and that no one will yell at her. And I also hate the fact that she wears really expensive looking boots/shoes everytime she designs a room. We all know that painting in heels is not practical Hildie!

It's been a long time since i've seen the show since I don't get it anymore, but....

1. Frank - you may think he's crazy, but I kinda like it (I still remember that TexMex kitchen he did...)

2. Vern - just cuz he's cool and does good work (did you see him on Oprah last week?)

3. Doug - may act like an a$$ but does good work...(i think i saw the episode where he wanted to cover the stone fireplace and the woman cries like 4 times)

4. Laurie - safe and reliable

so i just saw a commercial for an upcoming trading spaces episode where hildi is going to be using FEATHERS on someone's walls... all i can say is i'm scared..very very scared.

I would be in HELL!

I am a complete control freak about my living area, color scheme etc and if anyone were to change any aspect of those without me approving every step I would have a fit. It was bad enough having a roommate who moved the furniture when I went away for the weekend.

That being said, Ty can bring his tools to my house any time. :p

i don't know what's scarier.. that or when she stapled fake flowers all over the walls of someone's bathroom! i must say, i would be pissed if that were in my home!

I just decorated my sister in law's bathroom, and I threatened to do this to her just for the heck of it.;)

1. Vern. I just love Vern. :) He does his thing, but he really listens to what the homeowners want and has done things he didn't like just because he went with what he knew THEY would like.

2. Frank. I love how much he uses fabric! He just needs to keep chickens away from my house.

3. Edward. I think I've seen one room he's done that I didn't like. I would be a little scared of what he'd decide to paint black.

4. Genevieve. I think Genevieve is awesome! A little too trendy sometimes, but usually awesome.

5. Laurie. I love he. She's always classy and elegant. I've never seen one of her rooms that I didn't like, but I could do without all the floral stuff.

I'd love to work with Kia. That was I'd know she wasn't decorating my house. Same with Doug. I don't want Hilde in my episode. Don't want to work with her, don't want her in my house.

I wouldn't want Carter decorating my house either, but I'd work with him just so I could grab his...

Oh, and I demand that Ty be the carpenter.

I wouldn't want Carter, Kia OR Hildi in my episode, period! I wouldn't mind Doug though. Many of his rooms have been classic and I've just adored them.

I used to be a TS fanatic. Never missed an ep, watched reruns willingly. Now, if I'm home and if nothing else is on, I may check to see what talent is in the ep and the location. If that info interests me, then I watch. I still miss Season 1, even with the horrific Alex (and to an extent some of S2, before it became all this forced drama with the rooms.)

The thing that always drives me insane with Trading Spaces is how often we hear this:

Homeowner: "Well, they can do anything they want to my room, as long as they don't...

a. paint the stone fireplace, or
b. cover the wainscotting on the walls, or
c. use the color brown, I like every color except brown! I hate brown!

Trading Spaces Designer: "OK! Let's get going! The first thing we're going to do is:

a. cover up the fireplace, or
b. glue stuff on top of the wainscotting, or
c. paint the whole damn room brown.

Seriously, people. I remember watching the infamous "brown room" episode (featured on the "They Hated It!" episode) and the homeowner must have told everyone a million times about how much she hated the color brown, didn't like it, never had, didn't even like it with other colors, SHE HATED BROWN! So what happens? They painted the walls dark brown and most of the furniture too. The room was u-g-l-y, even if you didn't hate brown.

My best friend and I both agree that Trading Spaces would be a nightmare for us, because we are both control freaks. But if a gun was held to my head, she's the only person I would trust with my house, and vice versa.

As much as I wouldn't mind watching Ty for 48 hours, and think that Vern is an okay guy, I wouldn't let ANY of them near my house without having an AK-47 in my hands!! Just like G8Ralphaxi said, the very thing you call off limits is the one thing they'd do!

I would definitely be a "They Hated It!" show in the making...

1. Vern -- I love his use of fabric and deep color.
2. Laurie -- Her use of fabric and neutral/pastel color is great.
3. Frank -- Definitely a family room man. I appreciate his themes.

I'm not too keen on the other designers. There is always room for Ty in my apartment though! :)

My mom is absolutely addicted to this show. I'm not though.

Alls I know is that I don't want Kia or Hildie to touch my room!

However, my room definitely does need some redecorating!

Anyone see some the new carpenter for Trading Spaces Family? Can we say Yummy?!?!?! :p
