I was giving him some advice because someone mention something about clothes from structure and i kinda gave him a picture of UF frat boys. WE are NOT Southern sweety. I can't handle the stress with southern women. Too many traditional things you have to do for them. I know you are picky but like I said in a PM, regardless of what i would wear, I'd still get your cell number by the end of the night and have something lined up in the days to follow. I'll elaborate in a PM babe. *smiles* C- |

Well, UF, sweetie...;)
I really wasn't meaning that as negative towards you... Just saying that you're a different type than I go for... just trying to give the guy a little perspective of why what you choose to wear may not work for someone like me... i.e. why he needs to look at the girl he's going out with. Man, you DO have an ego, don't ya! And yes, you would actually have to pay for the meal and open doors for southern women. That's why I dated a KA. We southern women love that stuff, and they teach their brothers what true southern charm's all about! And, I gotta admit, you could probably get my cell number. That number's designated for people who want to know where the parties are, and I'm just the one to tell them... The home number, now, that's the challenge! |
Hey CarolinaDG I thought carpenter jeans went out 3 years as well, but if you ever come up to Massachusetts tons of people are still wearing them. Oh yeah I like going through all the traditions with southern women, like opening doors and paying for dinner and what not. Last school year a few of the girls I went out with wouldnt let me pay for their dinner. Well anyways thanks for all the feedback. It seems Im on track with clothing and all. And I think Acqua DiGio is the best cologne ever. Everytime I wear it girls compliment me on how good I smell, too bad its 60 bucks.

UF_Pike.... I don't think we would want you anyway!! So how them apples? JK.......lol I LOVE Southern men......their mommas raised them right!!:) To get back on topic.....I personaly have no problem with guys who wear Reefs or Birkenstocks on dates. How can I? I wear them myself everyday (except in the Winter of course). But, if we were goin on a classy date, they have to wear black shoes with a black belt....or brown shoes with a brown belt. I hear ya Carolina!!! I have too many awesome gay friends (who work at Structure, mind you) to expect anything less... Ivory |
I'm starting a shoping list. And a new thread.

Oh, one other guy thing that drives me nuts...
PLEASE do not button all 3 buttons on your polo shirt. You know, the "I'm choking" look. If you have chest hair issues, wear a white t-shirt underneath or another type of shirt. Tom, if we ever meet, I will pull out the frilly frock for you. :D |

Three little words
AQUA DI GIO Oh my god... I have sat next to men in the computer lab, in class or anywhere because they smell so good. When go out with my friends my nose picks it up and I follow it until I find the guy. If he is cute then bonus, if he is okay, I still talk to him. That stuff can make a dog's ass look good (okay, that is an exaggeration but you get the point!) Thank god my guy friend in class in 20 minutes wears it everyday, i lean on his shoulder and smell him the entire... it makes me want to jump his bones, but then again so does his english accent! |

My daughter was talking about this subject after a LOOONNNG night out with her friends. Manners mean a LOT more to her initially than what one wears. It's a deal breaker for her. She said, a guy can change his clothes, but he can't change his attitude. Southern women expect what every woman should expect- to be treated like a lady. (As long as she ACTS like one) |
Also, I like Victoria's Secrets' cologne for men, though it has an awful name, "Very Sexy for Him" It's good. Also, Givenchy p

I've been reading through a few of the posts by some of the gc women, DAYUM, some of you are picky picky...
Potentialpledge... Take the Acqua Di Gio advice, that stuff is great. I wear it almost everyday, but I have started to wear Chrome quite a bit also. Things to remember OVER what you look like: Be a gentleman. Open doors for her, pull out chairs for her, stand up when she excuses herself (yes we exist in the north also). Be kind to her, LISTEN to what she has to say and join in or add to the conversation, don't just nod your head and act like you hear her, you are only listening to her. Ask her if her meal is ok (if you go out to eat) you know, all the caring things that you can do, but don't do it too much because it might get annoying. Like James said earlier, talk to her, obviously there is something there or it is a possibility if you actually got to the date part. She might be one that cares of looks but ultimately who and what you are will be what she is interested in, get that down and you win her over. As for looks, reefs and birks? bah...not always necessary. Dress for you, make sure you are comfortable, if you can't feel the girl out for the type of clothing she likes on a man, ask her?! She will more than likely let you know what turns her on about a man and his clothing, it can never hurt to ask. Also, it always depends on where you are going for your date, dinner, movie, ice skating, mini gold, whatever, it all depends on where you will be and what you are doing. As long as you don't show up in ripped jeans and a faded t-shirt, it shouldn't be all that bad (that is of course unless you go paintballing)!! |
