LOL

Chinese Kitchen is GOOd. It just kills me how many folks try to pack themselves in there!

But my experience was at this little place where everyone from miles around come to eat a good burger...........Well first of all it's in the hood so you don't want to be waiting for your food very long (BTW it's a take out place, you don't go in and dine) But one day i went to place an order @ the window and right next to the ground meat table was the owner's wife CHANGING A DIAPER !!!

I was like WTF????????? Never again!

My mother refuses to set foot in IHOP ever again. She proceeded to put salt and pepper on a sandwich she ordered. Upon opening the sandwich, there was a cockroach sitting in the middle of the lettuce just as nice as you please.

I refuse to enter a Friendly's ever again. I ordered a strawberry milkshake and proceeded to drink it. Well, you know that when you drink it through a straw, the strawberries tend to clog up the straw, so I picked up the straw w/ the strawberry attached and attempted to eat the strawberry. Well, attached to the strawberry as it is coming out of the shake is a long blond hair! I called the waiter and showed him so he could take it away. He accused me of 'planting' the hair; mind you my kinky African hair was about 1 inch long at the time and I was dining with my husband whos hair is similar. The manager removed the shake from the meal and gave me a discount on the rest. I have not even entertained the idea of entering one of the many restaurants since this happened in 1992.

Now my nasty roach story. Picture this. I'm in my hometown visiting for Christmas and decide to check out Rush Hour at the dollar show. I already knew the theater was not up to par, but hey, it's a dollar, so what should I expect? Welllllllllllllllllllll, we get into the theater and not 5 minutes after the movie starts, I feel something crawling on my arm. I dismiss it as a fly, mosquito, ...... something. You know after the movie starts, it takes a minute for your eyes to adjust to the light and when they did, y'all why was the theater INFESTED with roaches??? I'm talkin' bout all over the seats in front of us, a few on the screen.... I mean they were EVERYWHERE!!! I was sick to my stomach. We left the theater immediately and I went straight home to take a shower and wash my hair. Just triflin', I tell ya!
OMG!!! *regurgitation*

librasoul<----would NEVER sleep again if this happened!!!!

What is up with the Chinese resturants?

When I was still in school, my roomate and I decided to grab some chinese for dinner. We were standing by the register trying to decide what to order. One of the workers asked the lady behind the register to toss him a towel to wipe of a table. She tossed, and he missed it, but it wrapped around his shoe. He proceeded to unwrap it from his foot and wipe down the tables.

I also have and IHOP incident. My sands and I were out of town, and IHOP was the only place open. We had bad service the entire time. But when we were at the register paying our bills (we could see into the kitchen). We saw the manager grab some eggs with his bare hands, taking them from one plate, putting them on another one, and served them. We made sure we told the table the food when to what happend.

It just makes you wanna shy away from eating out.

And don't get me started on food carry-in's at work.......folks just have different ideas about cleanliness.

There is a Chinese Restaurant in the area that used to get a lot of business in the mid-nineties. Well a friend of mine went to eat there and became sick that same night. She became so sick that her mother decided to take her to the hospital. *This is where it gets crazy* The doctor did whatever he had to do and determined that her illness was caused by bacteria in some food that she ate. Not just any bacteria though, bacteria that is found in HUMAN FECES!!! They traced it back to the Chinese restaurant when several other people got sick. I don't even want to think how bacteria from freakin-human feces got in her food.

I got a townhouse with a friend of mine about a year and a half ago. It was in College Park, GA and next to a really big field. One day I came home from work at about 11-11:15 and went to walk up the stairs to my room. As I am walking up the stairs a RAT(not a mouse, a big poodle looking rat) is chilling at eye level at the top of the stairs and looking at me. I did a nice 180 degree turn, went back down the stairs, and went for my bat. I got my bat rolled up the stairs and the rat ran into my roommates room. I flushed it out and it ran back downstairs. I tried to find it down there(why? I don't know) but couldn't. Eventually(a day or two later) it was caught in a rat trap and killed. It turned out that the management removed a dryer from the unit before we moved in and it never dawned on them to cover the vent that gave vermin a nice little path into our crib. Needless to say we did not live there long.

Ohmygod. I am always so ANAL about where I will and will not eat Chinese food.. seems like something is always going wrong. I know a place around this way got closed a few years back because they found out they were serving CAT. :o

My boyfriend and I went to this Chinese restaraunt and while this man was fixing our food, he just started sneezing....he didn't cover his mouth, nose, or anything...he didn't even turn his head. Of course, I had a fit! I guess his manager or whomever it was made him leave. Then a few minutes later, I look in the back again and another cook is fixing his contact in his eye. When he got finished, he just continued to prepare the food without washing hand the first!! I was just like "Oh, it's time to go!!!"

Anther time, about 6 of us went to Applebee's and our waitress just simply forgot about us. We didn't get any refills and she never came back to our table not even to bring us the food (someone else brought it). We saw her standing at the bar talking to one of the other employees so I asked another waitress if she could get her for us....she just looked at us and never came over. So of course, me and my big mouth asked to see the manager...I explained to him what was going on and he apologized and got everything that we needed. When she finally brought us our checks, myself and the other females at the table went to the ladies room and our boyfriends paid. When we got back, there was of course a question of how much to tip the her. I just said put some money down and let's go. When we got outside, my boyfriend told me that when we were in the restroom, she came over to the table and said sorry she wasn't very attentive, but she didn't see any reason why she should be because she heard that we don't tip!!!!!!!!!! First of all, who is "we"??? Of course, myself and her manager had a very legnthy conversation, and I haven't seen her there since!

Carrows in Las Vegas.....

Ok...this is for anyone going to Las Vegas (sorors & non-sorors)...DO NOT go to Carrow's--I think that's the correct name. It is located right on the strip....It's on the same side of the street as the New York New York hotel...but, it's a ways down from there...My sis & I went there & the waiters were either rude or weird....our waiter was rude....when we told him we wanted Sprite, he said "Ok, water it is"...we laughed, thinking he was making a funny...How 'bout this fool brought us WATER! Then, when I ordered Sprite again, it had black stuff floating in it....We thought it was just us or just our waiter...but, then we overheard this girl at another table saying to her waiter "Is this your FIRST day?" It took fifty years for our food to come...and, then it WASN'T good!! It was just a really bad vibe in there altogether! I don't remember if it was dirty in there or not, but am afraid to try to think that hard back on the whole ordeal....

Not only he didn't wash his hand the low-down country ghetto triflin' nasty a$$ wench grabbed my fries and chicken with his bare hands that just touched the RAW chicken.

HeartbrAKA 07-30-2002 03:01 AM

Well I got desperate one day and decided to go to McDonalds for a quick lunch....my "chicken" nuggets tasted like plastic and as I took a sip of my soda I noticed a large bug stuck on the underside of the lid of the cup... Ugh I felt like throwing up! Needless to say I took it back and got my two dollars back..

If the person uses the restroom and does not wash his/her hands the bacteria can transfer to your food. YUK.

I would hope somebody didn't actually poop in her food.

(can ya'll tell I have a baby now? I said "poop") :)

Okay

For those of you that notice rodents in establishments, call the health department. Even though they might not do anything, that chit is atleast documented...

Although I have had numerous restaurant incidences, this particular one is by far the best that happened to my family and me.

WARNING: THIS DESCRIPTION CONTAINS VULGARITY. THIS DESCRIPTION IS RATED PG-13 AND MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR SOME WITHOUT PARENTAL CONSENT

Ironically, this incident happened at a Chinese restaurant...

My family and I went to this restaurant to have this wonderful dinner. The food there is rather good, so we did not have food issues. The Maitre D came to her podium and sat us down in a booth: my mom and dad, my brother and me. I guess I was still in college or I just graduated. Anyhow, our booth was next to this huge round 6 person table. They were having some sort of celebration and were in the middle of their meal. Then the waiter came by and served us water and asked for our order for drinks and appetizers. When he was gone, we were sitting there, and suddenly, my dad starts squeezing his nose as if he smelled something. My mom asks him what's going on and he says that somebody just "farted" (he says it just like that). And my brother and I say, what? And he repeats it and says, "can't you hear it!!!". So we listen and sure enough, some guy, right next to us in the big table is "passing gas"... My brother and I just fall out laughing...

So, my mom is gonna call herself telling the waiter, that barely speaks English, that this guy is passing gas!!! My mom (sometimes I think she's clueless), repeatedly tells the waiter, the guy next to us is P-A-S-S-I-N-G G-A-S, then my dad chimes in "HE'S FARTIN'" :p then Maitre D steps in and thinks she knows what were saying and talks to him in Chinese, but they have this confused look on their faces trying to unrelentlessly understand . By this time, my brother and I have hit the floor, 'cuz the whole dayum thang is too funny to us...

Anyhow, we had gotten our food by this time, and my dad was getting angrier and angrier. My mom thought this guy just didn't know he was "pootin'" all over the place... I dunno if we ate our food. But by the end of our meal, I had left the table to use the restroom. I guess, while I was gone, my dad belted out, "SIR, YOU HAVE RUINED OUR DINNER!!!" and when I got back, it was all quiet and folks were lookin' at us... We just left. Then the poor guy came to our car as we were leaving and told us, that he had just had surgery (of what I dunno  ) and offered to buy us dinner. My dad, felt sooo bad, but WTF?!!? The dude was "pootin'" smelly ones!!!

But this whole incident was sheer comedy for my brother and I... And that's a story we'll never forget...

stillwater15 08-01-2002 03:47 AM

years ago, my friends and i were in mcdonald's, late one night. my friend ordered a big mac w/out something or other, so it had to be "specially" made. while waiting, i'm looking around and saw the guy who was preparing the big mac, pick his nose and continue preparing it, like that ish was cool. mind you, he didn't pick at his nose, his finger was all up in his nose.

i'm standing there, like wtf. so, i tell my friend, what happened, but she either didn't believe me or was just as nasty as him, because she wound up eating that big mac.

and... she wonders why booga became her nickname.
