I know that our campus requires a 2.25 for rush, and since you make that cut, you're eligible to rush. Sororities will look at your GPA, but if you represent their values and ideals, they will look past the GPA to you.

I know we had a chapter with a woman whose GPA was very low, much lower than yours, and they took her as a new member, and gave her a lot of scholarship support. She got a 3.4 during the semester she pledged, and has done really well since pledging.

Don't let your grades hold you back. A sorority is much more than a group of friends. We have resources to help those who may have academic problems, so use them http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I know that you don't pick up your invites until tomorrow at like 7:30 am -yikes!! But I think you can just pick up your invites go back to sleep then get up and shower for your parties.

Ok.... so my first day of rush went well. Although it was long I actually enjoyed meeting all the girls and seeing thier houses. I am excited to pick up my invites but I heard it is also hard because the sometimes you don't get invited back to houses you really like. I am sure that every thing will turn out fine though. I be sure to let everyone know how things are going and where I end up.

I'd love to hear how your Rush experience is going. I have a friend at Barnard (I go to Brown), so I would like to know how Ivy recruitment goes at other schools. Best of luck!

Our house requires 2.6 GPA...we can only take 2 girls on our entire bid list that are below that per rush...if there is a girl we think is amazinggggg and there are good reasons or she just screwed up a quarter then we may look past it...

after intro rounds at OSU all sororities cut based on GPA first...

good luck...makes sure to "GLOW" and I mean be the one smiling the brightest, being the most interested, etc so you stand out...make it so they say "WE HAVE TO HAVE HER!!!"

Today was the last of the second round... two days 10 houses (very long!) When I went to get my list of the sororities that called me back I was glad to see that I had ten to go back to and the ones that I was cut from I didn't like too much to begin with. Now tomorrow morning at 7:30 we get to narrow our list of sororites down to 6 providing all ten invite me back or more than the 6 that we have to go back to. I am actually enjoying rush quite a lot. The girls are SO nice and there are a couple of houses that I like but we will see who invites me back for the skit round. Thanks for all of your encouragement and I hope to report back with some good news tomorrow morning.
