I rushed when I was only 16, and it never caused a problem. My parents had to co-sign my lease when I moved into the house, but that was about it.

In the very early days of the Fraternity movement, some of the organizations were at "Prep" schools or academys, so some young men that we would consider high school days by today's standards were fraternity members.

I don't think Sigma Chi has an age limit as long as your in college. I think this is because one of our founders was 14 at the time of our founding at Miami Univ in OH. He was a genius. Ive never herad of anyone under the age of 16 pledging sigma chi though.

If I remember correctly, I was 16 when I pledged TKE and 17 when I was initiated. I signed all of my own forms.

I think the girl you're talking about went to my high school....... :) she's a nice girl |
We've had 17 year olds rush just because some younger people are still 17 when they start college.. (most of them turn 18 within the first few months though..) but people who are 17 have to get cosigners..) I'm pretty sure we'd let a 16 year old in as well.. although we'd probably try to protect her as much as possible from some stuff.. :)
