This is what was done at my school.
1. At my school if a sorority does not extend you an invitation for a Preference Party they may NOT offer you a bid at all...initially, snap, or COB. 2. If a PNM is NOT listed on your "B" list for bid matching you may not snap bid or COB her. If she IS on your "B" list and you have met quota for rush you can COB off of your "B" list until total is reached. 3. If there is Sorority A, B, & C and a PNM only puts and A & B on her preference card then she cannot be offered or accept a bid from Sorority C. Is it like this everywhere else? Have a great day :) |
That is how it is at my school-noone knew I had been snapped up except for my roommate.

At my school "snap bidding" was exactly what KDdani described. The chapters got a list of girls who hadn't gotten bids (and hadn't suicided) and would vote on who to extend bids to and then go give them to them themselves. So girls could get more than one.
It was very rare that someone who bid but did not suicide bid got cross-cut or something. Then the bid matchers would call the chapters who were not at quota and ask them if they wanted to offer bids. But this was so rare, I only know of one girl we got this way. |
