Well at least for my sorority it's a possiblity because half of the rumor is true. His wife really was an Alpha Chi!

If you guys want to mock people please do it somewhere else, cuz i know i don't appreciate it and im sure others don't either. All that was pointed out was that Armstrong's wife was an AXO not a Tri-Delt. No one said that there was for certin a pin on the moon, but just pointed out that if there was, and it was his wife's, it would be an AXO pin. Hopefully you can read this, possibly understand it and perhaps grow up a little. The idea of a pin being on the moon is a awsome one, no matter whose pin it is, but its also just an idea. That we know of, there is no proof that there is any sort of pin on the moon, but its fun to think there might be. So let us have our fun and enjoy the thought that one of our sisters may have a pin on the moon and we'll humor you by not mocking every single unprovable thing anyone in your org has done ever.

Why perpetuate an urban legend?
Perhaps you can call Phi Delt GHQ and ask them if they know anything ;) |
AX,
As I said, anything is possible. ZHL, I'm in middle age, and would rather revert than grow up. As I said, many of us have heard this story for years, for just about every sorority. I'll be sure to ask Neil about the story if I ever see him again. |
ok Be sure to let us all know what he says! :p
|
You don't know that it's not true. It could easily be true. I'm not saying it's true but I'm not saying it's not true either. If it was the Alpha Gamma Delta or TKE badge that was in question you'd be singing a different tune!
|
;) How do you think Urban Legends get started?
I'm not saying that your badge being on the moon is untrue or true...but I have to admit I've heard different variations on this story. By the way, if it were a TKE or AlphaGam badge I'd really read into it to find out if it was really true! |
AX,
To quote myself: "Anything is possible." |
Does it really matter?!?!?
|
"Does it really matter?!?!?"
Uh... Not to me. |
Quote:

Not our pin, but...
Our FLAG is/was on the moon, put there by our honorary Soror Mae Jemison. Now, whether it's STILL there is doubtful, but we still get a kick out of mentioning it. :)
|
Now, I think that was confirmed... but don't quote me.

Hmmm...while it's possible (even probable) that I've totally lost my mind, I don't remember anyone (any country) ever landing a woman on the moon. (?) I believe all of the moon walkers were men. We were way behind the Russians in putting women into space. And the Russians never made it to the moon.
Maybe she took the flag into orbit on the Shuttle? With all kidding aside, here's what I really think. Because it was such a huge deal to us in those days, just about everything that was done during the moon landings -- including Alan Shepherd's famous golf swing -- was captured either on videotape or still photos. I would think that if any of these "urban legends" (as AlphaGam1019 calls them) were true, someone, somewhere would have pictures. I haven't seen any. But again, it really doesn't matter much, does it? |
