My boyfriend and I are LD.. he's 8 hours away in Maryland and I'm in New Hampshire. We've been together for 5 years and we do all the above mentioned things (we watch movies.. or shows together.. etc)

Its tough, but we make it work :) In May, when I graduate (he graduated college in 2000) I'm moving to Maryland.

He visits here about once a month and I go visit him whever I possibly can. Its tough.. but it works.

I'm looking forward to May.. believe me :D

I'm going to IU for grad school (communication disorders). I'm going to try to be an active alum, but so far it looks like I won't be able to make any of the meetings. :( I haven't started school yet, but I really love the school and the area. I'm originally a country girl, so it's nice to be out of the city and back "home". I will admit that I'm very intimidated by the large size of the school! I swear it's 10x bigger than Butler. :p

I live in Indiana for college (NY for home, but I'm rarely ever home) and he lives in Illinois (a Chicago suberb), but we're only 1.5-3 hours apart (1.5 being no traffic, 3 being super thick really bad traffic... usually I average 2-2.5 in regular traffic)

We're going to move closer in another year or two, still working out the details.

Where in New York? My best friend is from the Rochester area. I visited about two years ago and loved it. It reminds of Bloomington, but the people are funnier! I love New York accents!

Long Island. Not near the city, that's about an hour and a half drive. I'm on the Southern Shore, a little bit more east of the middle of the island. I don't really have an accent. But I sure can talk with exceeding speed! I slow down after I'm back in Indiana for a week though, as I get odd looks if I don't slow my speech out here, since most of them don't understand me when I speak that fast, they're not used to it, lol.

Evidentally a few other people on GC are also from the Long Island area, we've been talking about it on the GC aim chats at night. Pretty cool stuff.
