To all of my storytellers, can you all please make sure your part of the story makes sense.

In case you cannot tell, Tyrone is a lawyer. So I want to make this story a little less ghetto than it has been in the past. Funny how so many of us will not go see "ghetto fabulous" movies but we will write a "ghetto fabulous countrified story. Maybe by me using the names Shameeka, Tyrone, and Beulah Mae made it come off as a countrified, ghetto story but there are folks in the professional world named Shameeka and Tyrone.

called me and woke me up from my nightmare, where I was ACTUALLY drinking a 40 :o. My most dreadful nightmare coming true....

That John hadn't come home that night and could I come sit and wait up with her. I looked at the clock, it was 3:49AM. I really didn't want to get up, but I couldn't leave my soror hanging, so I thru on my ADZ sweatsuit and headed out the door. When I got to Tonya's house...

I saw the most horrible thing. Tanya was sitting in the dark, crying like a baby, with a drink in her hand. As i walked slowly toward her I could see bruises on her face..Damn.. I thought..what..

in the world happened to Tanya. I turned on a light and saw the bruises very clearly on Tanya's face and arms. I picked her up and drove her to the hospital. We waited for hours to see the doctor. We finally saw him and he told us that Tanya has 3 broken ribs and a sprained wrist. I took her back home. I stayed with her until John John showed up and I told him he did not need to be hitting on no females. . . . Then I got to work and worked on preparing the legal brief for court on Tuesday so we could go away this weekend and enjoy ourselves without all of the drama."

"Tyrone, baby, you still have not told me where we are going for the weekend."

"Well it's not much, but I want us to drive up to Atlantic City. Baby can you drive because I am beat."

"OOO, Atlantic City, it's been a while since we went there. I can't wait to hit the slot machines."

Beulah Mae comes walking into the living room, "Shameeka, gal, before you leave I need for you to . . .

...pickup my dry cleaning and do some grocery shopping and pickup my prescription because you know my old knees and back be acting up. You know you all I got! I done raised you from a little baby ever since your momma...

... and daddy died in that car accident. "Grandma, why did you have to bring that up?" Beulah Mae always knew what to say to get Shameeka to do what she wanted her to do. Shameeka would always feel guilty because she knew her grandmother didn't have anyone else. Besides Beulah Mae had raised Shameeka and her kids.

"Chile, don't you hear me talking to you? Sometimes girl I swear you be in another world. What you thankn' bout?"

Nothing grandma, I just...

...was thinking about momma and daddy" says Shameeka. She often wonders what her life would have been like had they lived. Oh well, she thinks, at least I still have grandma. Shameeka turns and reaches for her purse and keys, but then stops and realizes that...

she left her purse and keys at Tanya's house. Turning to Tyrone, Shameeka says:

"Sweetie, we need to run back by Tanya's house to get my keys and purse. I would like to check on her anyway before we leave."

She then turns to her grandmother and says,"Grandma, I will not forget to do what you asked of me. And I appreciate everything that you have done for me and my children and we will always love you for that."

Shameeka and Tyrone leave the house and head over to Tanya's apartment on the other side of town. When they arrive, they notice..........
