I thought the show was hilarious. But now that they have weeded out the comedy acts I wonder if it will still hold my interest. I guess I'll find out tonight.

What about old girl who was singing and was "pantomining" to LEAN ON ME. I swear some folks were straight BOLD to come on there and get clowned like that.

"FOR (holding up four fingers to the judges), it won't be long..." LMAO!

I my goodness, I swear I'm in tears CTFU at ya'll. I keep replaying the show in my head and start laughing all over again.

I'm not sure what song this girl was singing but she thought she was doing a good job. When she finished Simon said something like, "That was extraordinary." Oh girl was like "Thank you!", cheesing a stuff. Then he was like "Extraordinarily bad!" The look on her face was priceless:confused:  :(

Oh girl who sang Fallin', I'm not sure if it was Simon or the black dude but they told her that she didn't sing the song on key. Oh girl was like "I wasn't trying to sing the right notes." I was like WTF.

What about the 17 year old guy with pony tail. I forgot what he sang but after they told him NO! he was humming the song. Give it a rest you can't sing buddy.

I'll be watching tonight. I'm sure it wan't be as funny. I just want to see who really has what it takes. Frankly some of those people should have gotten the boot.

Her lean was almost GANGSTA LEAN like, CTFU. Did she make it to the finals?

I wonder will they re air last night's episode in the future because I SWEAR i need to tape that to see over and over again.

C&C 06-12-2002 07:56 PM

I must admit I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time!

I couldn't believe when Paula told the heavy set girl that she needed to work on her overall appearence/look..........and I just got done watching her on Entertainment Tonight talking about her eating disorder.

Virtual Violet 06-12-2002 08:00 PM

I just saw a snippet of TA-MIK-A ("Tomika") on Access Hollywood! All I can say is...WTF

They were RIGHT!!! She REALLY CAN'T SING (although isn't it IRONIC that Paula Abdul is a judge?) And how's she going to get indignant about them judging her....ITS AN AUDITION!!!

And what about her HAIR? Could you CURL that mess before you go to an audition?!!!

I'm sorry, but she's smacks of every loud-talking ghetto girl stereotype that makes me cringe!! I would at least have been able to stomach her if SHE COULD SING!!!

Honeykiss1974 06-12-2002 09:15 PM

ok, WHY DON'T THESE FOLKS KNOW THE WORDS TO THEIR AUDITION SONG!!!!!!!!!!!

AND THAT GOT THE NERVE TO GET MAD AT THE BRITISH GUY FOR CALLING THEM OUT!!!

lmao!!!

The Fallin' girl was name Rose. I was like WTF also when she was even trying to sing the right notes. How do you go perform for judges in the music industry and not sing the proper notes?

And what about the really blonde chick who after her audtion was all I'm 22, I'm beautiful,I can sing, I'm going to be a star. So if you change your mind, here's my number?

How come this chick looked a hot mess? How come if this wasn't a family board, I tell you what I really thought of miss blonde girl?:D

YES LAWD!!!

That girl Trinity looks familiar. But she did say that she feels that her lace is in church, so i can't knock that.

Ok, but why is Jose going off on the judges??? WHy did he tell Randy (the brotha ) that he needs to go to the gym!!

CTFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CrimsonTide4 06-12-2002 09:43 PM

YAY TAMYRA!!

But what was UP with chick who sang like this (different song):

Mary had a little lamb, hum hum hum, and everywhere, uh la la la, THE LAMB WAS SURE TO GO.

LOL. Stop making fun of the mans hair. I think he's going to be the "American Idol". He's doing a great job.

There was absolutely no excuse for these people not to know the words to the songs. My only exception to the rule would be the black young lady who forgot the words to Get Here if You Can. I believe she did get excited and overwhelmed with the experience and just went blank and forgot the words. I felt so bad at the end when she was crying in Paula Abdul's arms. Poor baby:(

Ah, this show is hilarious

Whats up with all of the arguing after the fact....

All the arguing is futile. Because (with the exception of Ms. Adbul) they have made millions off of this same thing. So it really doesn't matter if Simon or the Black guy can sing or if they look the part-- cause they are making the real money by being the background, anyways.

But really, what was up with ol' boy Randy's hair and jacket, he made it wayyyyyyyyyyyy to hard to concentrate.

But the guy that sings like a lil' Donnell Jones (the one that was in the group of 4) has definite personality.

DELTAQTE 06-13-2002 04:27 AM

man

Just when I was sad that the Osbornes weren't on, here comes American Idol! They need to reair the first one so I can record it!

When Tamika said they can kiss her black ass, I was on the floor! I would have gotten mad too if he said my name wrong and didn't care if he was saying it wrong.

What about the dude pop locking and Simon told him he was the worse singer out there? He said he was the best, these people are in serious denial.

When homeboy at the end was clowing everyone, I was laughing when he got on Paula, cause he was saying what we were thinking "You know you wouldn't have made it if you were in these tryouts". lol! Why is she judging anything?

I can't wait for next week.

Death Threats

It was reported on Fox 5 News last night that one of the judges from American Idol has been receiving death threats.

Can you guess who?

Of course, it's Simon and he said that after the auditions in New York some of the prospects came up to him and told him that they were going to come back for him and kick his azzzzzzzzz.

He has now hired bodyguards but said that he will continue to tell people the truth in his usual manner.

They gave her the boot. What I was dreading happened, the big girl from Chicago was the first to go. I was thinking the whole time but what about Kelly Price she came out big and made it.

I think that some of these people who could really sing...like ol girl who her and Paula was crying together...will be picked up by some record companies out there. There is no doubt in my mind that some major record executives were watching this show.
