Hi, ladies!
The Eta Psi chapter at http://www.geocities.com/adpi-vu/ hosts an "All Chapters List" that links to sites for active and closed chapters, including the school's web site, the greek council's site or org listing page, and the chapter site (if any). I'm always looking for more sites, so please visit the page and then send your site links to me! I'm also the host of the ADPi webring. Right now there are only 3-4 sites that have the code added, but I'd love to have more! |
Kate,
Wonderful site, and it looks like an amazing chapter. Thanks for providing the link for us! violets |

As for calendars, you may just want to list the events for fall and for spring, instead of having one page for each month of the year. I find it easier to just put everything on one page. Recruitment could be updated with your COB/Spring info; it still mentions upcoming fall recruitment! The layout is wonderful; you just need to get the list of members on there! For us, I just list name, offices, hometown, and major/minor. I don't link addresses or phone numbers, and just link the Pres. and Chapter Advisor on the index page. Other contact info is where it makes most sense-- recruitment people's phone extension or email address on the recruitment page; alumnae relations person on the alumnae page (btw-- it's alumnAE, not alumnI), and so on. Other than that, great job! |

If you want to use flash, go ahead, but use it for an opening page. Please don't use it for the whole site, since people on slow connections will leave before it finishes loading. Also, include a "skip" link at the bottom of any flash page, because once you've seen it, you probably don't want to watch it again and again just to get to the calendar page (especially if you're a sister in that particular chapter who visits the site often). I'm a big fan of small pages, because you can get to the info quickly! :) Be creative, but do keep in mind that some people can only visit the slower, less-flashy, less photo-heavy sites. |

This website is adorable!!!!!!!! |
Thanks! I know -- didn't they do a great job? I'm an older alum and we didn't have a web site when I was in school-- I'm so impressed with their talents! They completely change the look of the site 1-2 a year to keep it looking good, and update regularly.
