I am trying to get a bottle from Europe though for myself, to celebrate my new job.

I know this is further O/T but what does absinthe actually taste like?

Didn't Ace from Real World Paris serve something like that to his fellow castmates?

I love the "frat punch" that Ive had at one of the fraternity parties here. But lemme tell ya it will get you really messed up. I know that it has Everclear, Vodka, Grenedine, Midori and like country time lemonade I believe thats all thats in it cause Ive helped make it once before but that was like over 2 yrs ago so I cant remember all thats in it. it was some great stuff and you couldnt taste the liquor in it but damn 3 drinks and you were feeling pretty darn good lol.

Yup, I was talking to a guy and he told me never ever to have more than three drinks of that stuff because I'll end up sick...or worse....

Did anyone else think this thread was gonna be about the donkey punch?

One of the fraternities here makes this drink called Yuk which is basically gummy bears, vodka, and fruit/ fruit juice. That stuff makes you do things or so I've heard. We've all been warned never to drink that stuff at mixers and parties and whatnot.

There is one house in particular around here that makes the BEST buffalo around....it's EXCELLENT! It's so expensive they can only make it max 3 times a year, but when they make it, they make LOTS and they serve it and bottle it...it's tradition for new guys to bottle their first time making it and by the time they graduate, it's turned white and can only be drank mixed with a non-alcoholic drink.....it's the STUFF!! :-) One glass, when drank with some speed, has me leaning against the wall.......We warn all of our new girls about it and the first time anyone we know tastes it, one of us always stays the SS (sober sister) to make sure no one has more than they should or ends up where they shouldn't be.......
They also make clam juice and electric lemonade, but the Buff, is by far the best!

anything you buy over here isnt true absinthe...the real shit, as deltasigstan alluded to is from europe. key ingredient is wormwood a hallucinogen banned in the US. its supposed to make you more creative-its the stuff van gogh was on when he chopped off his ear and sent it to his ex

We have a punch that only the Social Chair knows the recipe for called Alpha Punch. It's not made very often, but it was developed by one of the Chapter's Founding Sisters, its bright red and tastes the same with and without alcohol. The only way a sister can get the recipe is either by helping to make the punch, which is rare or by becoming the Social Chair. :D Either way, once made a fun time is guaranteed to be had by all :D :D

Now I remember what its called!!! Its called yank me crank me lol kind of a funny name but its sooo true lol

The best way to describe the taste of absinthe is : it tasted like black liqrouce. also i think real absinthe is illegal in if not all the states a lot of the US. My friend brought it back from europe. And the jungle juice at rutgers usually had everclear in it. very strong, and barely a alcohol taste if it was made right :)

I htink it is opium based or something like that, watch he jack the ripper movie with johnny depp, he drinks it in that movie. And in bram stockers dacula.
