Our Psi Chapter was founded in 1895 and our Chi Chapter was founded in 1898. Shortly after that the Phi Chapter was founded in Canada! We grew from there to be the largest women's fraternity in the country! Go Chi O! That many women can't be wrong ;)

Fifteen months after the founding of Pi Kappa Phi - Alpha Chapter, Beta Chapter was chartered.

Adelphean Society (Alpha Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi) was founded at Wesleyan in GA in 1851. Decided to go national in 1904, added Beta chapter at Salem College in NC in 1905, added Gamma (Mary Baldwin in VA) and Delta (UTexas Austin) that year, and added one or more chapters every year following until 1916. (We'd gotten up to Alpha Eta, the 33rd chapter, by the end of 1915.)

I don't think I ever knew that. Did your founders petition KKG or just decide against petitioning?

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded January 2, 1897 at Barnard College and became National with the installation of Pi chapter at Tulane University September 8, 1898. AOII came into being with four and national by one (only one charter member of Pi was initiated at installation as the others were out of town due to a yellow fever scare).

We are still trying to get our Beta Chapter off the ground. I am very optimistic that it will happen around our 10th anniversary!

Hi,
We don't have a Beta chapter yet but are hopeful that it will happen in December or this year or January of next! Wish us luck, it will be about 1 year after our establishment!
