Eileen has been a powerful force in the anti-hazing movement and has helped many other states to create anti-hazing-laws. About 10 or so years ago, she became an alumna initiate of Alpha Phi.

I am so glad to learn that I have yet another wonderful sister out there! :)
On another note, I think this woman is a bit sensitive towards deaths that were partially caused by a group belonging to the Greek system. I think the labeling of "hazing" incidents by her may have gone a little too far, but I believe she just wants to put an end to Greek violence, of any sort. Who doesn't?
Of course, I understand that just because one Greek organization does it does not mean that all organizations do it. One organization doing something wrong reflects on us all, such as the family of a thief looks as if they are thieves as well. To break a stero-type is to change the way people think about a given situation.
Just my thoughts. :) |
