Well, not that it makes it true, but the Greek101 catalog and website have Carly Simon listed under their "Famous Greeks" section as an Alpha Gam.

Okay, I did something I've never done before..I checked out the Carly Simon webpage and sent her an email asking if she was a "squirrel" or not. I saw on a bio that she went to Sarah Lawrence College, but I don't think AGD has/had a chapter there.

As for Peri, she went to UT Austin. There are over 1100 initiated members so unless you know her initiated name, it would be a stretch... to find her. I did find a snail mail address but I probably won't mail her.

Actually before Amber's info went private I emailed that address on there and told her that her info was open to AGD members and that she may not have known it. All of that info, including the last name given were not correct. It was a prank someone pulled on this woman. She emailed me back and asked if there was anyway to get the info changed so I emailed IHQ and forwarded the emails from the woman listed on there. So... perhaps that is what happened.

Lynn, you are so scandalous! ( jk, ;) ) But, let us know if you ever hear anything back.

The rumors get started pretty quickly about famous Greeks... the official website would definitely list Carly Simon if she was in fact a member of AGD -- the list they put out is pretty thorough. I think it's safe to say she isn't (although wouldn't that be cool if she was?!).

I found that the email associated with Amber's account was her husband's. I looked up the profile on it and it matched the address. The last name is correct because she is now married. If it wasn't correct, I doubt IHQ would put that on their famous list...
