It makes me mad that a girl gets cut when she doesn't fit the "mold" of the women that a certain sorority has. For instance, if I wear a fine knock off pair of black pants that aren't Bebe's, don't cut me. You don't know a thing about me. Our campus had a lot of this, and then two sororities would get these women. Now those sororities live for the cuts of other groups, and unfortunately get a bad rap because of it. I think that's bullshit as well. Those sororities have great sisterhoods and good leadership and just because they aren't huge, and because they accept people for who they are, they get a bad rap.

I hate formal rush in general. It's all about who makes the best first impressions, even if they're being totally fake. I'm a big fan of informal rush, since you actually get more time to find out who will fit in your chapter and who won't, and while some surprises do sneak through, I think you do get a different type of person through informal. It's almost like with formal rush as a freshman, you're shaped as a person by the chapter you join, but with informal, you can find the chapter that goes along with who you already are.
