A special addition to the importance of greek life at SU is that it is home to the Syracuse triad, which I am a proud member of and even prouder to share our history with G Phi B and Alpha Phi!!! Also, our Alpha chapter is closing and recolonizing in a few years, but I encourage anyone to come and see our house there. It was designed by our founders and EVERYTHING in the house has a meaning, right down to the littlest detail! I have never been to know what actually is in there and what means what, but I know some of it and I have heard it's gorgeuous!!!!

I did not know A-Phi was founded two years after the University was founded! That is something I will have to tell my sisters! Thanks for the info!
Hey SATX*APhi.

Another interesting Phi Fact to tell your sisters:

*Syracuse University first started to allow women to enroll in 1872, and out of the very first 20 women to attend, 10 of them became the founders of Alpha Phi!

Jessica

Another interesting fact, Alpha Phi at Syracuse was the first sorority to have their own sorority house. (My roommate was a founding sister of the chapter at my school.)

Cream, what school do you go to?

Peaches-n-Cream 02-18-2002 04:40 PM

Binghamton which is about 45 minutes from Syracuse. That was many years ago.
