I'm hoping to get more involved with my home chapter, and it looks like there's an excellent chance. They're in trouble and looking for help with recruitment in the fall. I'm going to visit next weekend, but I don't know if I'll be able to make recruitment. (It's about a 4 hour drive from here, and I don't have a sitter, so... I'll have to wait and see.)
There are more ways to help the undergrads if you can't make it. You can send flowers to help with their formal presentation of the pledges (one less expense for them). You can send a big box of cookies (or whatever they normally serve during Rush) or a gift certificate to their local Pace/Sams/bulk store. Even sending a check with a notation "for the use of Rush" would help them get some more of the things they need. Rush is all about presentation, so if they can put their very best foot forward you'll feel great and they'll feel great.

Hi deltaphi94.....this is so exciting that you want to help. I'm a Phi Mu Adviser in NC and would be glad to talk to you and find the chapter contact, etc. out for you. Trust me - there are lots of ways to help out the chapters - even if you don't live within a close proximity to them. I have several on my advisory committee that correspond to their counterparts via email and phone. It's great!
Why don't you email me directly and we'll chat. [URL=http://clix.to/phimu]
