Wow, what a way to welcome someone! MsLiz continue to do what you do! I thought it was nice of you to want to help people out as well as put your education to work. Hope you enjoy it here on GC!

I hope you dont feel unwelcome at GC. It's just that maybe you should take some time to see how the forum works unless you've been an SO (silent observer). Advice is usually given on an as solicited basis. So if someone posts something like... "How do I fry chicken wings" :confused: or What is the best seasoning salt, Lawry or McCormack? :D people reply to that post.

So I may speak for some GCers when I say we welcome your willingness to help and hope that you can also learn about concepts that are attempted to be upheld daily, humility, respect and discretion.

I had typed a very intelligent response but I received a call and my AOL shut down.

So just in summary, Ms. Liz I don't think that anyone is taking you seriously because what really makes you an expert. I took some psychology classes too. I think in general we all come here and offer our opinions and advice but no one considers themselves an expert on matters in general.

I too consider this thread hilarious and say lighten up!!! This is coming from someone who needs to lighten up sometimes too.

Normally when you dream bad dreams that is a sign that you should pray more and humble yourself. I doubt if your boyfriend will ever harm you. This could also be a sign of the true love that your companion has for you.


REMEMBER: Dreams almost all of the time mean the opposite.

I never once claimed to be an expert in the field of psychology. I only stated that my major is psychology. This thread has nothing to do with me being or wanting to be a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. if that was the case I would have directed the thread to the members of that particular organization. I was introduced to GC by a couple of friends. I came because I am an adult and I make my own decisions(ENROAD).This thread was just something for me to do in my spare time. I went through the list of forums and I saw that the AKA forum was the largest or most seen. I do feel welcomed by the many pms that I have received.(the nice ones anyways) If there is a general forum that I can begin this thread please pm me and let me know of such a thing. If the members of AKA would like for me to remove this thread I will do so with no hard feelings. I try to stay as far away from confusion as possible and that is what I will continue to do. I am not trying to do anything but have a general thread going.

Girl, it's really not that deep. I, too, thought that this thread was funny when you posted it, but that's just my opinion. You got a little dose of the sarcasm that is ever present on GC. Welcome to GreekChat, and enjoy your stay! You don't have to remove your thread, like I said, it's not that deep.

IF you are looking for the 'general' forum you might want to post this under chit chat. It might get a better reception there. I have to agree with what folk have said, it just seemed puzzling. Everyone here tries to talk to everybody about there problems. And for someone to just come up and say I WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS (not screaming, just demonstrating how it looked to me) seemed strange and yes, to a certain degree quite arrogant.

That is why you got the response you got. I apologize for laughing to a certain degree because it wasn't very sisterly, but you really did strike me as someone who needs to realise that it ain't that serious.
