I have two, one for my college that I got from a homecoming order, and one for Alpha Phi that I got through the merchandise swap on Facebook.

I love them. I want more of them. They're so comfortable and useful for days when I'm feeling really fat/lazy.

These look so cute, and have NEVER seen these before. What's on the front of the jersey?

Must be a Yankee thing.

They're here.

I have an Indiana one but it's WAY bigger than I thought it'd be. I look like I'm playing dress up!

They are really cute and I would consider wearing one at times. Hypo wanted one but I was broke at the time they were selling them. She's in the northeast so it can't just be a southern thing. I think hers would have had the crest on the front.

So cute, but no NPHC option. Id wear one so hard in my alumni glory!

I have one that I wore during recruitment so I had on letters but didn't match the collegates.

I have a friend in AZ that was sent one for Christmas by his mother with his hometown written across the back "Willacoochee" as big as you please. I don't think he'll be sporting that one anywhere. ;)

This really makes me want to buy one………

Am I the only one who thinks these things are ugly?

Perhaps it's just the latest (oversized clothing) trend. This is something I definitely won't be buying.

Hardly. They're all over the place here.

No, you're not.

Still got daughter the one she wanted for Christmas.

This may actually be worse than the oversized tank top trend.

Both trends kind of fly in the face of looking your best while wearing your letters.

tld221 02-19-2014 11:37 PM

On 2nd thought, yeah, this is a really sloppy shirt. I think, at my size, I'd look totally dumpy.

misscherrypie 02-19-2014 11:39 PM

Here at Nevada, I see them fairly regularly. Cute, but not my style...

At least here, the general feeling seems to be that these don't "count" as far as wearing your letters goes. Every Tuesday all the sororities wear stitched lettershirts, take pictures for points if their chapters give those, tweet pictures for PR to Clemson Panhellenic, the whole nine yards. On those days everyone collectively makes an effort to look nice and present an polished image of sorority girls and Greek life in general. The other four days of the week are when you'd wear a spirit jersey-they're considered more on the level of event shirts in that while you wouldn't wear them out to parties since they still have your sorority's name on them, you can throw one on if you don't have the time or don't feel like putting a ton of effort into personal appearance that day. I also saw a girl working out in one once but I felt like that was too far, since they're meant to be baggy and heavy.
