I see it like this: if you can read a post & decide that you want to reply, but you hadn't registered, you can do a search. If you can click on the link that reads "next oldest topic" or "next newest topic," you can do a search. WHY? Because the search link is near all of them. There IS a FAQ section, not only for the organization boards, but for the Greek Life board as well. From grades K through 3 one learns to read. From grade 3 AND ON one READS TO LEARN. That's all we're asking people to do. READ and you may LEARN something.

I think that the only posters who are getting snapped at are the ones who are saying (drum roll, pleeeeease) something stupid. A young lady asked about U Alabama rush specifically and pr directed her to the appropriate place very sweet & nicely. There's a difference between posters who are new and just need some direction to find what they need, and those who are purposely being a pain.

I can see were Kappagirl is coming from though. That search engine is hard to figure out, and nothing your looking for comes up. At least, nothing I'm ever looking for.

I know that the search thing can be aggravating, but at least TRY it before posting the exact same thing on here. I have seen messages pop up, and not even disappear off the current page before another one comes up. I don't really care if people think I'm being rude -- I think it would be rude to visit your friends and ask them the same exact questions that you asked them yesterday, and the day before, and so on, just because you either didn't stop to think *hmmm - didn't I just ask this question* or you think *hmmm - I don't like the answer I got, maybe I'll keep on posting it*

I am relatively new to this forum, but am not new to the Greek world. I am surprised by the attitudes of some of the people on this chat forum. No one deserves to be treated like they're a f&*$ing idiot just because they couldn't find something on the search option. There are so many helpful, kind sisters and brothers on this site, that I'd hate to think that a few mean-spirited people could take away from that impression. Just my .2 .
