Great story, Kangamom!! Written exactly as we like to read them here on GC... quickly and without getting upset at the cuts! It is hard ot explain them to a mom who adores her DD. You really did a great job. Now enjoy being a DZ mom!

When you said their philanthropy was her major I wondered if it was DZ. All the Delta Zetas I know have gone on to work in something involving audiology.

She's actually going the speech pathology route, not audiology. Her aunt and cousin are speech therapists and so am I. She has another cousin who did her BA in speech pathology before changing to nursing. We consider it the "family business" :)

Congratulations to your daughter on DZ! As someone who stutters, I have many friends who are speech pathologists. They are all such kind and patient people :) what a good major/field to work in! I enjoyed reading your story :)
