Pref Day came around, and we were finally in the home stretch! I was really happy to see that I had been invited back to:

Tusk in Sun
Bloomers
Sweet Nothings

I was a little surprised to not see Sparkle Glow on my list, but I had really liked Sweet Nothings on Skit Day so I wasn’t too upset about it. I excitedly went ahead and started my day, anxious for Bid Day the next day!

Sweet Nothings: This was my first party of the day and it was absolutely gorgeous. From the girls to the flowers to the songs they sang, everything was perfect. You could see how much these girls loved each other and their sorority. I was preffed by a girl I had met earlier in the week and she wrote me the sweetest note telling me she hoped I would be at their house on Bid Day. As much as I liked Sweet Nothings, I just didn’t feel as great of a connection with these girls as I did with Bloomers and Tusk in Sun—I felt more like a visitor in this house than a member. However, Sweet Nothings is a great sorority and I would be honored to receive a bid from them.

Bloomers: Bloomers’ pref ceremony was really sweet and touching. The girl who rushed me actually let me hold her badge, which I found to be really personal. She also told me a story about how her mom had died and her whole sorority had been there for her even when she didn’t ask for help. I cried, but she quickly made me laugh and cheered me up. I really enjoyed the fact that their sisterhood was so sweet and fun, and I loved that about them.

Tusk in Sun: This was my last house of the day and I was glad because I had a feeling I would be really emotional during this party. My close family member, who is the closest thing to a sister that I have, preffed me and we both cried over this really sweet letter she wrote me. I felt so at home here at Tusk in Sun. I could tell how much these girls loved each other and how great their sisterhood was. All week they had been my favorite, and sometimes when you know, you just know. While all the other sororities have something great to offer too, I just knew that Tusk in Sun was the place for me. Looking around the room, I knew I had found the girls I wanted to be my sisters.

So I left the party and I went to do my final rankings of the week. Although Sweet Nothings and Bloomers were great sororities, I ranked my final three like this:

1. Tusk in Sun
2. Bloomers
3. Sweet Nothings

I was so relieved when I hit submit on the computer! The stress was finally over! And since my school does the whole thing where you maximize your options you’ll automatically get a bid, no matter what, I would be opening up my bid and finding a great sorority tomorrow morning! So now I just had to wait and see!

I look forward to finding out what sorority you joined.

Bid Day came quickly and all of us crowded into the stadium waiting for our bids! The ten minutes that we had to sit there with our bids before we could open them were the longest ten minutes of my life, and when they finally counted down and said we could open them, we all ripped ours open and a loud squeal erupted from the stadium! I ran down to join the Rho Chis that were members of my sorority and my new pledge sisters before we all ran to our house where all of our sisters were waiting for us.



Well, I guess sometimes you just know! I had THOUGHT RIGHT! My new house was…..
