adpiucf - I had no idea about the Greek Life center! That's awesome!

(BTW, I followed your advice and contacted Orlando Panhellenic Alumnae. They were more than happy to help! Thank you so much!)

Hey Lexi! Did you get any information from them? I'm planning on calling the schools Panhellenic office soon to as ask a few more questions.

THANKS ADPIUCF! You've been very helpful, (:

Oh good! I hope it all works out. They've been promising the Greek Life center since I was in college... back in the days before there was a football stadium on campus. It's been a LONG time coming.

Good luck to you two Knights with recruitment! I cannot stress enough that our UCF chapters are HUGE and diverse, and they all have something wonderful to offer. I stand by my assertion that you can fit into any one of them-- with nearly 150 girls per chapter, you will surely make friends! And remember UCF is a very Panhellenic campus, so even if you don't pledge a particular sorority, I guarantee you will develop wonderful friendships with members in each organization! Keep an open mind everyday to all of the chapters who invite you back, and remember that recruitment is a "rush" of first impressions. Please stick around and feel free to PM anytime.

The Orlando alumnae were super helpful in the area of recommendation letters, yes!

Hi Lexi! Good luck at UCF recruitment! I had a lot of the same issues when I was in college, I worked and was responsible for paying my own dues. I was able to make my sorority payments over time for my chapter ( which was unhoused at the time). I did actually cross several chapters off of my list because I couldn't afford them. Make sure to be realistic about what you can afford and look for a house that fits within those limits. One thing that was nice about dues was that once they were paid, I knew that I could go to events without stressing about being able to afford them as it was all included ( date functions/formals/sisterhood events). Good luck! UCF is a great school with a really fun greek life!

Thank you so much! It's quickly approaching, I'm so excited! One thing I do love about UCF Panhellenic is the cost transparency, they completely break down all houses' dues and show exactly what you're paying for! For example, I could look at the most expensive houses and think "Wow, I can't be a sister there!" but the breakdown shows that those dues also include 10 meals a week in the house. So the cost definitely evens out, and I'm very glad UCF provides that kind of transparency!
