My favorite line is the last one of 4th round:

"The preferential parties will be held in the suites and the appropriate dress will be indicated to the rushee at that time."

What?

These are September dates, I didn't realize Miami was once on the quarter system.

Miami of Ohio I am assuming? The trees look definitely northern-no palm trees in the pictures?

I think all the state universities in Ohio were on the quarter system until the mid-late 70's when most changed over to semesters, Ohio State being the last holdout until this past year.

I will add that this pic of the pie eating contest is one of 4 such images in this brochure!

Yes, Miami University is "Miami of Ohio." University of Miami = Miami of Florida.

I like the part about the Third Period Parties: "These formal parties place you in the more type of more formal situations you may find yourself in at alumni (sic) functions..." Today, we're trying to convince collegians that we're not old women sitting around sipping tea, and they were prepping for that very thing!

Also, love the picture where the girl appears to have had her face stuck in a cream pie. I don't want to imagine the backlash that sort of activity would result in, these days.

Ohio University just switched back to semesters this year. I think it was in the late 60's that they switched from semesters to "quarters" (which were really trimesters if you think about it since most people didn't go to school during "summer quarter")

I think it's awesome. Of course, that's my era. :)
