Cool avatar! As an animal lover, I heartily approve.
Question: O' Hare Airport used to use Belgian Tervurens as "drug dogs" to search for drugs. Is this breed commonly known/used for that?

barbino! I have lots of photos and videos of my Belgians and am happy to share with you. Belgians are a wonderful breed, but are not for everyone - they are pretty high maintenance in terms of needing challenges, being trained, having a job to do, and so on. They are "high drive" and not couch potatoes. Yes, they are used for narcotics and explosives work; for all kinds of SAR work; in the military; and so on. The Belgian Malinois are especially liked by law enforcement; they are short-coated, unlike the Tervuren, Groenendael (commonly known as BSD) or Lakenois (the curly coated ones, they are freaking adorable). My two are amazing at tracking and herding, as well as agility and obedience. My male is a speed demon and has beaten some sighthounds at lure coursing.
OK, enough of the swerve. Back to the topic: cheerfulgreek, I got that "upload failed" message too - but my avatar loaded. dbb - I found the avatar on my user control panel page.
