Like everyone else, I'm glad nothing terrible happened to you. I don't know what I would have done had I been in your shoes.

On New Years Eve my fiance's car was broken into on 6th Street in Austin and they stole his CD player and radar detector...completely by-passing a few purses in the back and his and my new bank account information in the glove compartment!
I'm so glad all they took was the cd player (preffer nothing but you get my point). I'd be a wreck wondering who I needed to call to cancel and change credit card numbers and passwords!

Here is a something that we would all be wise to remember:

If someone wants to merely rob you, they will take your purse and leave (which is what that guy did).
They will not take you anywhere.
Give up the purse or jewellery and hopefully the thief will leave right away.


If someone wants to rape or murder you, they will try to make you go with them; they want to take you to an isolated spot. Their intention is to rape and/or murder you (or worse).

So if someone wants you to go with them, FIGHT BACK.
